I’m going to make this simple for the world! I spent much more time looking for the answer to this than I felt it should have taken. Its the sort of question I would usually fire out to my developers and they would just laugh at me, sometimes they might grunt, and more often than not just do it and not bother to explain. Solutions:

  1. In WP go to ‘settings’
  2. Then go to ‘permalinks’
  3. See the list of options under common settings, they relate to the URL structure of your posts.
  4. Select ‘Custom’
    • Then add in your custom sub folder name of choice.
  5. Then hit save.
